70 ft high; Tree; Notes: Tree 70 feet in height (22 ins. dbh) on compacted sand marginal to dambo in scattered tree community of Piliostigma, Combretum imberbe and Acacia nigrescens. Uncommon but widespread in the above situation.

48 ft high; Tree; Notes: On compact sand. Tree 48 feet high and 3 feet in diameter. Only specimen in Burkea, Combretum mechowianum tree savanna - Mopane mosaic.

Grass, up to 304- 426 cm high.

Herb; Notes: Uncommon, widely dispersed small woody herb of 1 feet - 2 feet high in Savanna woodland on sand.

6 ft high; Graminoid; Notes: Common on dambo margin amongst Themeda triandra and Hyparrhenia. Up to 6 feet in height.

Shrub; Notes: Common large shrub on termite mounds in drainage line. Up to 15 feet in height.

In January the dominant flowering aspect of montane grassland. It appears to be dominant in quantity as well. Inflorescences giving the scenery a brown appearance. Up to 120 cm in height.

12 ft high; Tree; Notes: Common in shade of aggregated savanna trees on sandy soils; Mostly on compact sands, termite mound thickets and in marginal floodplain woodland. Fruit red when ripe, edible.

Tufted and stoloniferous.

Shrub; Notes: Common shrub up to 3-4 feet in height. Calyx pink, corolla white. In Pterocarpus - Burkea - Guibortia tree savanna.

Graminoid; Notes: Abundant marsh grass on floodplain, associated with No. 1433. Up to 5 feet tall. Rhizomatous and Stoloniferous.

Tree 4-8 metres tall. On pallid sands in Brachystegia thicket.

Notes: Common hemiparasite on canopy branches of Burkea africana. Flowers red, splitting to the base. Also on Acacia.
